F-106 to fly again someday?

Wikipedia states there are a few F-106's with a private collector in Texas. Any info on this?

Yes, I've heard of this. And I've also seen a F-106 listed for sale in either Trade-A-Plane or barnstormers.
Don't know if they're related.

But with the complexity and cost of flying a high performance jet, I wouldn't book a flight just yet to see its first flight.

To add onto John B...

I think there were 5 airframes. 3 single seat; 2 - 2 seaters... One engine between them... Owner bought an F-5. I think he sold some or all of the F-106s.

Hard to make one of those fly.... Really hard...

He bought a T-28 as well. And sold his Hun to Collins.

I saw one loaded onto a trailer several months ago, but there are still four outside his hangar.

There were maybe 6 inside a guarded fence when I was at Edwards in the mid 60's. These were ADC (Air Defense Command). I was assigned to Systems Command and we had a B model and IIRC, the tail number was 529. I remember her well as she was the last aircraft that I worked on before leaving on an early-out. The crew chief was a civilian.

If it is the same guy who had the F-100 and sold it to Collins then it would not surprise me to see it fly again some day. I cannot remember his name at the moment but he is a super nice guy and has in the past been somewhat active with the Classic jet Aircraft Association (CJAA) in the past.
