How about the Centex P-39? It looked more or less complete (All the big parts, including the LE skin were attached) when I was there a week ago.

Anyone got an informed update?

Anyone got any info on the Planes of Fame P-59? It seems to have been "almost ready" for a few years now. I know it was a dog and a mere footnote in actual service, but I'm excited about it. Wish there were more early jets in the air or as ground runners.

Any breadcrumbs or status on Paul Allen's Fw-189?

It was banged up but essentially complete when it was recovered, and there was no post-crash fire. It seems like this one should be rolling out soon. And I'm hoping they keep the winter white-wash.

Maybe the wings for the He 219 at the NASM will be put on the fuselage in 2015.

I'm looking forward to:

1.) the local PBY-5a that's being restored over in Victoria, BC: http://pbycatalina.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/pbycatalina

and

2.) the deHavilland DH82C Tiger Moth accident repair at the Canadian Museum of Flight in Langley, BC. http://canadianflight.org/content/tiger ... ation-fund and https://www.facebook.com/CMFTigerMothRestoration

I'm also excited about test flying and getting my Jodel F11 back in the air again after a lengthy engine repair. :)

Cheers,

And it's a real warbird....ex Royal navy as FP511, and it was lend lease so it also had a USN serial. I don't know if it ever wore USN colors. Probably not.
I know many of you are going.."big deal, it's still a civil aircraft". But Gooses are far rarer than most realize.

Tks for the update on the ex Buffalo Canso David!

Had a chuckle when I saw it painted with rollers :D Pretty sure it will stand time the same as a spray type job, but it will for sure give her a more weathered look.

Plus......it reminded me how how I used rollers to paint my cars when I was younger. Plus if you are going for flat or a flatter semi-gloss......no one will tell the difference once it is back with road grime on: dirt and oil......pretty sure it will look outstanding.

Cheer!!!!!

Hi all how about White 33 the P-38 that is coming along out at West Pac might it be ready the latter part of 2015? In addition the P-82 of Pat Harker's in Minnesota it seems to be a real hush hush project. But I know this airplane has been under restoration at least 10 years. Seems like that aircraft should be getting much closer to flight status. I guess we will all have to wait and see if 2015 or perhaps 2016 could be the year?

I think you'll get that wish granted. Still alot of work to do fitting out and a very complex assembly.

Then there's the Martin B-26B-25-MA 41-31773.........

Will the Marauder be finished in 2015?

That will be a really impressive static restoration when completed. They've been working on that for ages.
