Cool news...it has been announced on ww2aircraft.net that the Russell FW will be going to Yagen's facility. All Gerry needs is to find a B-17 for sale :)

Does this plane still fly with the four bladed prop? And i wonder if the paint will be changed to something similar to what Gerry had before. thanks for the update Jim.

One can only hope the engine, cowling, prop, and paint are changed to something far more historically accurate. I'm sure it will, given the authenticity the rest of Gerry's collection seems to have.

Ollie, Jerry Yagen's original Flugwerk FW-190A has indeed been with the Erickson collection (formerly Tillamook) since being sold last year (along with the B-17), where it has remained flying. Now that Jerry Yagen has another Flugwerk FW-190A, this one being the Bob Russell example (they are all a bit different, based on how each kit has been finished (systems/cockpit/engines/props/cowlings)), as Jim mentions, all he seemingly needs now is to purchase a B-17 in order to have back all that was sold last year (having already purchased another DH Dragon Rapide (under restoration) to replace the one he sold last year, and having also recently purchased back the (Kestrel-powered) Hawker Fury replica which had also been sold).

When it comes to originals, Yagen reportedly owns:

(Information pulled from Preserved Axis Aircraft: http://axis.classicwings.com/)

Fw 190A-3 (WkNr. 5467) - Previously owned by The Texas Air Museum
Fw 190A-8 (WkNr. 350177) - Previously owned by The Texas Air Museum
Fw 190A-8 (WkNr. 732183) - Previously owned by The Texas Air Museum - This one is currently on public (static) display at the Military Aviation Museum (https://www.flickr.com/photos/thoog/10837767465).
Fw 190D-9 (WkNr. 211028)

The Collings Foundation Fw 190F-8 (WkNr. 931862) "White 1" that is under restoration to fly, was also at one time owned by The Texas Air Museum.

I know that as of 2009, The Texas Air Museum still retained Fw 190A-8 (WkNr. 732070/350185) and had it on display (not sure if they still do or not).

I didn't realise that he had bought that back too. Didn't that get parted out, with the engine being sold separately from the airframe?

If those Tu-2 power eggs are so great, then why is nobody flying a Tu-2?

MAM's facebook says the Russel FW 190 is now in Virginia Beach and how his Mess. 109 will most likely be at Warbirds Over The Beach in May.
I will be there in May, vacation time already scheduled.
