Avro Anson in central america

Sun Dec 28, 2014 11:50 am

hi,

a few month ago, I found in a newspaper of 1947 or 1948 in a college library that one airline company in Central America bought an Avro Anson to fly locally but so far I haven´t found a picture of it. I have seen pictures of this plane with the US Air Force insignia, so I deduce that they could have been sold because they were in America. I would like to know if somebody around here could give me some extra information about this matter, and a picture if you could.

thanks

The "Central America and the Caribbean Civil Aircraft Registers" book by Air Britain early 1970's) lists several Avro Ansons that operated in the region. I have not checked to see if there are any images.

If there are, I will scan and publish here.

Saludos,

Tulio

Page 179 on the above mentioned book, shows a small b&w image of a Cuban-registered Anson (CU-N370, an Avro Anson IV)
