How low can you get?

Browsing a website about RAF Wethersfield, came across this picture of an F84 at the 1964 Open day. The photographer - credited to Roger Leitch - did a great job getting it mid frame!

What is more amazing to me is how close the plane is to the crowd!

With all the flyable 50's era blowtorches still flying, and with all those F-84 airframes out there..... Too bad there isn't several on the airshow circut flying low and loud (alas wishful thinking)

ahhhh the days before liability insurance, law suit happy s.o.b.s, show regs out the ying yang, etc. a pic of a good ole care free airshow!! thanks!! it was a treat!!
