This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Hello,
last October I visited Nampa's Warhawk museum, nearby Boise.
A volunteer told me some aircraft on display had recently come from a collector who passed away.
When I compiled my webpage I stumbled on a few unknown identities.
This in turn nade me wonder about Merle Maine's colection, where some of them went.
It is all here:

Ruud,
The Paul family is one of the nicest group of folks you will ever meet. they have supported the Wendover air show several times with 'Boise Bee' and the P-40 'Sneak attack'. In addition the museum they run is well done and they do a great honor to the veterans.
I do know that a number of the Merle Maine aircraft went to Idaho - not only to the Warhawk museum but if I remember right one or two went to the Legacy Flight museum in Rexburg, ID.

What a great looking hangar. Awesome aircraft and WELL lit with all kinds of neat looking stuff. Thanks for that.

Michel, my wife asks the same questions!
It is a combination of restlessness, an interest in travel/photography/history.
But above all good fortune to realize it, though financially it isn't always the wisest thing to do.
And glad my wife trusts things will turn out ok.
Tom, I will also adress my questions to the museum, but I needed to weed out some clerrical errors and such like first.
Thanks all, hope in time we see the questions answered
safe trails,
Rudi

I had hoped to bid on the F$D Skyray and sent a couple emails. Was alos going to bid on the A-4. Unfortunately was working outside the U.S. and communication prevented bidding. Would love to have had the Skyray to restore.

The Skyray had a modified wing planform....Space Shuttle-ish.
Anyone know where it went?
