Dang Chris...Fort Ben is close to your house? Don't you live in Elkhart now?
Ya know...if you could finagle a way to get that Sabre along with the Starfighter at Huntington back to Grissom, begin working on the Fortress there as well as all the other planes at Grissom, I do believe you could have enough work to keep ya busy until retirement...and beyond

Ha ha no I live in Zionsville, In and work in Elkhart. I just stay local during me 4 days a week that I work. Eventually will get closer to home. Eagle Creek Airport is talking about putting a tower in due to an increase in traffic.

Zionsville is pretty close to my parent's house. In fact, I got pulled over on 334 over Christmas for not signaling a lane change. Not much to do there apparently....

Just north of Lebanon. I grew up there.

It would be great to see this F-86 come in from the cold, or eventually fly again. I can ask when I am there next time.

Mr Scott...yes, there is (or was?) a Starfighter at the entrance to the Huntington (Indiana) airport. Someone posted pix here on WIX of her a while back and she was looking worse for wear than when she was at Grissom Air Museum.

Chris, would it be OK to pass this photo along to millionmonkeytheater.com's F-86 page? They don't have a shot of this one.

At the very least, could we try and find a canopy for it?
Would/coud the NMUSAF help?
Are there any laying around unused?
How about a mold for a fiberglass one?
