Help with P-40 ID

Tue Jul 08, 2008 12:28 pm

Greetings All -

I am starting to scan a batch of negatives and prints that a friend has loaned me. Few of the prints have info with them and I could use some help with this one.

Thanks! Mark

That was the first P-40 I ever saw at a airshow in Milwaukee.
It was painted camo with shark's mouth and a yellow spinner.
35+ years ago (ouch!) :?

Is that an Aeroproducts prop? Wonder how it affected performance...

Is the canopy side-hinged or something else? I can't imagine it would slide back any more with that ADF football in the way.

I'd really like to make a model of it. Anyone have an idea of the main color and the cheatline?

The Allison powered P-82s had 4-blader props on them! Plus, didn't the P-40Q have a 4-blader?
