Warbird Information Exchange

Back in the early ninety's I worked for an outfit that did forest service contract work(i.e. fire attack) and we where in Dillon and my coworker and I went to Ennis to check on a restoration company. We rented a local 182 and flew there. There was a T-37/A-37 fuselage sitting outside. I think there was one inside but no photographic proof.
I'm trying to ID the Lockheed and where it is now? My scan isn't all that great but even looking at the original photo I can't see anything. Hoping someone here remembers this place.

The Lodestar is Lockheed 18-56 cn 18-2509, USAAF C-60A-5-LO 42-56036, N1940S.

It was sold at the Globe Air auction at Mesa, Arizona in Oct. 1985 for $38,000 to Scoben Investments Inc. The aircraft was stored at Ennis-Big Sky, Montana from 10/1992 through 08/1995 when it was flown to the Chicago, Illinois area.

Current owner is William Glover of Mt Pleasant, Texas.

I believe this is her today, no? It is very good to see a big Lockheed twin getting some love as there are far too few that do and far too many rotting away it seems.

Had the pleasure of seeing this Lodestar at Topeka in 2013. A real stunner, and found that it was once
a Exec. Transport for my employer, Bethlehem Steel. Beth. Steel is gone but became ISG, then Mittal
Steel, and I'm still here, at least for a couple more years. It'll always be Bethlehem Steel to me.
