This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

So, did any WIXers make it to the recent open house at the Udvar-Hazy restoration center? I'm dying to see some closeups of Flak Bait now that her assorted pieces have been consolidated in one place.

As Paul Simon once said, "you can call me Al" and the Beatles sang "her name was McGill, but she called herself Lil, but everyone knew her as Nancy"

Who you callin' a "kid?" I hit the big five-oh last year (and git off my lawn!)

The rivet-counting model builder in me just wanted to get some detail shots of Flak Bait's nooks and crannies before she's buttoned up. Hopefully she'll be done next time I get to Udvar-Hazy..and I'm sure I'll probably fill up a memory card with pics of her then.

Jim, did you have early pics of the MAPS B-26 on a defunct photo posting site when it was in New York in the 90s? Do you still have them?
TriangleP
The MAPS ship, 40-1459 is a Million Dollar Valley example that found its way to Akron via MARC,Chino
The NY or Empire State Aerosciences Museum aircraft 40-1501 is now in PIMA.
Either way more pictures of any surviving B-26 would be cool to see.
