... on business yesterday and today, I had my inner old airplane infatuation kick in. There's so much that has, and still does, go on in SF regarding aviation history and todays warbirds. Where to start? I'll just post a few of many.

Wow! Thanks again Mark - especially for the B-18s and B-36 (wonder which was louder - six Bolos or one Peacemaker?).
OK if I pass T-33 53-5865 along to Nathan over at millionmonkeytheater.com for his T-33 page?

What -- no pics of the closing scene of Magnum Force with the old CVEs?

My family used to live in Walnut Creek - right next to Concord. I could see Mt. Diablo from my bedroom window -- very close to the view in the picture with the TBM. I remember going to Buchanan Field as a boy to pick up my father who would take a commuter flight from SFO to Buchanan after being out of town on business. We once took a field trip there during 1st Grade, and I remember climbing into what I think was a Cessna 140. Very long time ago, though...
