Looking to buy a Merlin/Packard V-1650-7

A friend has informed me of a V-1650 for sale at his local airport. Does anyone know the value of a run out 1650 core with intercooler and supercharger?

If it is a V-1650-1.........about $5000 to $10,000

If it is a V-1650-7 or -9..........about $15,000 to $30,000 depending on the amount of rust & how many accessories are still on the motor: mags, coolant pumps, generator, hyd. pump, etc.

But if the motor has had an overhaul within the last 10 years......maybe around $70,000 to $90,000 or more.

Sorry Cam I guess the guy thinks the motor is worth its weight in gold. He is asking $70K. No history no log books.
