Amazingly disappointing warbird portion of the airshow Friday and Saturday. Saturday was one Skyraider, two T-28s and a single Mustang. Weakest Ive seen since I started going in 2002. Seems like Wednesday was billed as Warbird day and having two major Jet teams took priority the other days. Decent showing on the ramp though!

Nothing like a Scooter. Fell in love with them watching run the pattern at Miramar in the 70's when I grew up there. My dad's best friend was a former A-4 pilot. During Vietnam he transitioned from the A-1 to the A-4. He said first time out with an instructor in the back, the instructor told him to do an aileron roll. Dad's buddy said he put the stick over like he would in the A-1 and before he knew it he'd done 2 rolls since the roll rate in the A-4 was so much higher than the A-1. Next thing he said he heard in the headset was, "you A-1 guys always do that". lol
Nice pic Bill. Thanks

With more acts coming into the show, they are separating the days into themes. Wednesday was 80+% warbirds with some homebuilts included.

Wednesday as the warbird day makes it an extra long commitment if you want to see the main acts and stuff going on during the Friday and Saturday. They used to do a decent warbird event on most of the major days. SNF isn't Oshkosh and that's great in a way! Either way it's a welcome break from the horrible flightless NE winters and I'm always grateful for that.
