Dallas Aero Service / Reynolds Bombshell ?

Does anyone have some connections to the old "Dallas Aero Service" that might have more information about this P-47's markings?

Did you check with Yanks Air Museum? I think Earl Reinert freshened up the race markings at some point; here it is in 1969:

Note the old paint visible around the 7s in the registration. The camo came later. Having known Earl, I bet he never stripped all the old paint off - the folks who restored the plane probably saw the layers of old paint as they dismantled it.
