This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

looks great mark, but you know what they say "When you're out of T-6s, SNJs, Harvards, you're out of fighter trainers". So I would expect to see some of those in the future.

How do we contact you regarding an error in your photos, i.e. photo reversed? I tried making a comment in the comment section on the photo page but to no avail.
This one is reversed.

I already waste too much time on the internet.......now it is going to get worse.....

Thanks Mark, just what I needed..................................................

Edit - I posted this prior to reading the thread about Mark leaving WIX (I hope all readers realize this was 'tongue-in-cheek humor)

I would like to introduce myself & say high.
But this is regarding Mark Allens photos etc.
Here's a link to my website's forum,( its free to access) not very well known, but we are all dedicated aircraft enthusiasts.
At the bottom is my reference hangar, again free.
This has been alot of research mainly from National archives.( 100s of hours ) downloading & sorting.
http://collections.naval.aviation.museu ... /Query.php
http://www.fold3.com/
http://www.americanairmuseum.com/media?search=FRE+359th
I could go on They are in the public domain
LINK - to my forum http://www.axis-and-allies-paintworks.c ... /forum.php
Go to my reference hangar, years of work and some stuff that can only be found on my site as it was sent to me.
So I wonder how Mr Allens threads that are on WIX are often close duplicates of what I posted ?????????
He did e-mail me once to ask if he could use some stuff, which I of course agreed to.
But his flicker account is nothing more than my hard work, lifted from A&A, which he claims is so special.
He took the easy route!!
Sorry that my first post is not very nice.
Regards Duggy.

Duggy,

For what it's worth......I can't speak as to where Mark gets all of his pics, but I do know he gets some from the SDASM as he will credit them in the post. If you have followed his posts for any length of time, you will see that. Often times there are multiple sources for a single pic. Someone from a museum (Wright-Pat, Maxwell, SDASM, etc) repository or other group will go to NARA, LOC or maybe other websites to collect photo's and bring them back to their own place. I know someone who gets pics from the manufacture or the manufacture's historian and I know those are the original source. Anyway, someone else will go thru that collection researching, scan the photo and put it out on the net. There are pics out there on a few websites that I have personally taken with my own camera, put on a military website and someone copy/pasted the jpg link over to their website. I don't really care as they are nice pics and I don't have any profit or money agenda with my pics. If I did have a financial or other special interest I would not put them on the net. Something to think about before you go too far over the hill on this.

John

SERIOUSLY!!!!!! .... Your completely wrong! Would you rather I just delete the Flickr account and lose ALL of them. I take no credit for any of them other than an attempt to save them for ANYONE and EVERYONE and that's you included as there's thousands even YOU have never seen before. Your welcome to them anytime. What else do you want? You want me to delete them? I CREDIT as best I can with what I know about them and where they came from. You think I'm the only one who visits your site and copies and saves? H*ll no! I know of several Flickr accounts that have ALL your photos copied and saved. You even state to copy and save photos on your site. Go and look yourself. And I've ALWAYS given you credit for any photo of yours I ever posted here. Another thing, your full of sh*t up to your ears as to your US Navy photos on your site. You got ALL of those photos from the NMNA archives when they had all those photos in their archives. I know because I've had them for years before you posted them.
But his flicker account is nothing more than my hard work, lifted from A&A, which he claims is so special.

Again completely wrong. Most are NOT from your site and your site has copies from all over the internet as well. You and me both have copies of copies from everywhere. I need nor want credit for anything I have ever posted anywhere. You obviously don't know me.
Sorry that my first post is not very nice.

Your first post was asinine.

BTW Scott I have ALL the photos in folders that I ever posted on your site. There yours anytime to put back into the broken threads. I told you I would not take my toys home.

Geeeeezzzis!!! WTF is up with these internet forums lately. A total infestation of knuckleheads.

Glad I'm done with internet forums. (BTW Hellcatdriver was my first WIX handle, a fitting end to this nonsense)

And one last thing for Duggy (or whatever your name is) If you want my Flickr account it's ALL YOURS ... I'll give you the login and password and then you can change the title to your name, your dogs name or grandmothers name what ever you like ... Actually I was going to change the accounts name to "The TIGHAR memorial archives" ... lol

Best wait until I upload the rest of the 250,000 photos I've managed to harvest / pilfer / hock and actually purchased over the years. THEIR ALL YOURS ....
