And yes, Mark, I'm sorry to see you go too. So many of your posted photos create little aviation puzzles to solve, and I thoroughly enjoy learning from them. Hope this gets resolved more amicably.

That's another fun thing to do.....examining the small details of the photo's can reveal interesting things for discussion.

Mark, after reading the postings, both pro and con, may I suggest (changing my original posting) that you please GO AWAY LIKE, RIGHT NOW? :axe: :axe: :axe: :axe: :axe:

And then, come back with a different nickname, or call yourself kraM, and "assume" the task of continuing posting the photos many of us like so much? :drink3: :drink3: :drink3: :drink3: :drink3: :drink3:

Saludos!

Tulio

I have been looking at historical airplane pictures for the last 30 years, and I often see the same ones over and over again. You continue to bring out new pictures, don't stop, the warbird community really appreciates your work.

For those who care. I have closed down my photobucket accounts and have opened a Flickr account (for now) that will host all the photos I have posted here on WIX (and a lot more stuff) I am working on constructing this Flickr account in very organized and well labeled Albums. Everything will be easy to access and very easy to find whatever you may be looking for. There will be no more WIX postings. Anyone interested in finding something or just looking at rare photos, your always welcome and I'll inform whomever's interested when it's ready. Many of you have my e-mail addresses and contact info.

FWIW nothing personal with WIX or it's members, (as far as you know 8) ), just done with internet forums. Too much whackiness for me to handle. :axe: Or is it me too wacky to handle internet forums, whatever! ... lol

Take care people, you too Speedy 8)

I've been a Photobucket and Youtube bubba for ages. I never played with Flicker. When this new Flicker account gets up and running, hopefully we can get an address/link/website posted and have a basic Flicker 101 for dummies class so we can navigate thru the photo library.

I'm sorry you feel the way you do Mark. It is unfortunately the nature of the beast in regards to forums. I've dealt with this for 20 years now and it sucks. By having an open forum available to all who want to participate you allow some amazing people to participate, but you also have those that don't know how to interact with people and or have no ability to see others viewpoints. It is very difficult to regulate this without bringing the hammer down. However, to put this in perspective, the number of trolls versus the numbers of visitors is a huge gap. We average about 40,000 visitors a day.... FORTY THOUSAND. The number of trolls are minuscule compared to that. Consider how many people enjoy your posts before leaving for good. I for one am a great fan of your work and I don't know if you have noticed I have been incorporating hundreds of your pictures in the various galleries for the site.

I appreciate your efforts and your decision to leave. I just wish you would reconsider about leaving.

IMHO, Mark is the nicest and most helpful person on the internet.

This site won't be the same without him. Nor will the warbird community.

Mark left WIX in protest to some vitriolic personal attacks against the TIGHAR organization founders posted on WIX site. Scott has had to go and clean it up several times....

Mark closed his (paid) Photo Bucket account causing 'Red 'X's to appear wherever he had posted Photos on WIX.

He has now opened a Flickr Photo site with over 40 albums and over 4,000 photos and he is adding more every day:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/131467356@N06/albums

Access is free and just click any album for any aircraft to see his photos.

Click any photo in any album to open individually and then click photo again for full screen.
