Yeah, I agree with Fouga, it looks like the cushion from an ejection seat to me. I think pretty close to an early Martin Baker ejection seat as in English Electric Lightening, Canberra and others. The color and material definitely makes me think British or Canadian.

Was it that color before or after use ?....
