It was sad that the author didn't have information about one of the men executed on Chichi Jima. The following men were the crew of a VB-109 PB4Y-1 shotdown on 5 August 1944.
Lieutenant Elmer H. Kasperson
Ensign Warren A. Hindenland. Executed by Japanese forces in the Bonin Islands (Chichi Jima).
