I was Bob Love's pit then and had help Jim on the B-25 when he had it at Hangar 5 OAK. Jim always was cheap when it came to fuel.

OK, I think the Registry has it as 87.

The Registry also says that the B-25 was trucked home to Stockton, and we know it was flown with the landing gear down.

To Taigh; Do you recall approx when the photo from Bogue's place was shot?

With the Tigercat in the background and the B-25 still has its 'old' nose art, I'm guessing that picture is from ~ spring 1980.

The nose gear was obviously fixed down. I can't remember if the main gear was retracted on the way home or not. That's a question for Carl and Tony. I think they are coming up for the Eagle Field dinner dance this weekend so I'll try to remember to ask them.

I think Tony may lurk here. Tony, what say you? I and I am sure others here would love to hear your views of the adventure. You guys came charging up to the rescue on your white horse (dually)and the Flexi-Flier and saved the day for sure.

I seem to recall that you all saved Ricketts backsides many times over the years.
