Great 2014 interview with Bob Hoover.
Including some nice comments and perspective on the X-1 & Chuck Yeager.
Calculated balls out is all I can think!!!!!!!
I am happy and impressed that we get to hear stories like these with the internet and all our modern tools.
His comments on freedom at the end are priceless.....

to one of the greatest generation of mankind and humanity.
Tks Bob....for one, I am glad to have heard you.........and your amazing stories.

What a guy...I particularly loved the last part of the interview when he recounted our beloved flag and lectured the teenagers.
If there's anyone out there who fits the "been there done that" narrative, it's Mr. Hoover, but I think his humble personality would just shrug it off.
Although I have never met the man, (saw him perform in 1988 at Billings MT when i was twelve), I feel as though I know him.
I hope one day to shake his hand and thank him.
I tip my hat to you, Mr. Hoover, you are definitely a true Gentleman in every sense of the word.

Met him a couple of times, 1985 had a drink with him at the O club at Hamilton AFB after flying over the Golden Gate and a couple of years later at the Arlington, WA airshow, a gentleman
