Does it cost more to register new as opposed to renew? Just found that it costs $5 to renew online with the FAA. It doesn't have to be airworthy,
MAAM's P-61 is registered and it's a long way from flying.

It's five dollars to register/renew a registration. Only difference is that with the renew, you do it online whereas the initial registration requires a physical form to be used.

The Erickson A-26 was flown last year to the new base and museum in Madras, OR. Not sure how much it has flown since, but either way, it is airworthy.

Any still sitting at some small airport for such an extended period of time that they could possibly be stored and saved??

Right now the Military Aviation Museum's A-26 is in storage after being moved to the new Fighter Factory location from Suffolk. Here is some of the move pictures off of the Fighter Factory Facebook

Nice to know that the Tillamook 26 is flyable. One more on the list.

As for the MAM Invader. Is it going to be re- worked back to a stock A-26 or will it keep the civilian exec. mods? Do you by any chance have a photo of the rear cabin of this plane?

Unfortunately not Neal. This one went to Kermit Weeks and was involved in Hurricane Andrew in Florida. Has been under restoration at Aero Trader for several years. Don't even know if it is being worked on at present.

Thanks TJ -- I kind of vaguely remember now that there was an A-26 involved. Too bad it was this one -- it was a real pleasure to see this level of restoration.

I don't think it was a restoration to begin with. Kermit's A-26 was all stock and unaltered from its service. She still had the complete turret system, radios and all other gear from the factory. Carl and Tony are going through her and she already is and will be stunning. I am sure she will be the best and most complete A-26 in existence when she emerges from Aerotrader.

I don't believe that N4313 at Santa Rosa (the former CWH A-26) is currently airworthy. The last I heard it was still under restoration, and up for sale.

Last I heard, Kermit also had the ex-Earl Reinert Nightmare, 44-35590/N3248G, but IIRC it was going to be parted out for another restoration - any update on that?
