When I get a chance to look through the maintenance manual, I will get the numbers..

Sounds good. When was the last time those engines ran? I hope you guys get some good video's of the big start up day.

A few years ago. We turn them over regularly, however. I imagine we'll be running them a bit this spring.

As of Monday, June 29, 2015...we have run ALL 4 R-4360s on the "Angel". Things are looking up!

Ditto. But here's a video I found from December 2014 when they fired up two of the engines.

Actually, we ran 3 of them in December. We just ran #3 last week. We'll be running them again this week sometime.

I posted the video to the WIX Facebook group.

Last week, we ran all four engines for a few hours until we ran out of fuel.

We will be having the airplane weighed soon.

They all ran fine, but #3 never really cleared of smoke. There are a few oil leaks to take care of on it, and of course, since it hadnt been run in 20 years or so, we'll have to do another compression test on it to see what's going on.

We suspect a few things, a sticky primer solenoid, resulting in a rich mixture, a stuck ring possibly, just a rich mixture in general, and of course, oil leaks. We already pulled all the screens and they are clean and metal free.

We will sort out the issues, but overall, the engines seem like they're in good shape.

Here's a vide shot of the first 20 minute run.

Nice video, thanks for posting- to paraphrase: "I love the smell of 4360's in the morning....smells like victory...."
