Thanks for the photos guys! Love the Norseman...what a beast. I'd been mispronouncing it as nordoon all these years...nice to know! Found out only a few years ago that Stampe was pronounced stomp(?)...never too old to learn.

Years ago I used to frequent a recycling yard between Ellington and Galveston where a unusual aluminium waste can caught my eye. Big hobnail rivets, cylindrical tank with one end open about 30 gallons or so with a Noorduyn data plate on it...I hauled it home to use as a waste can with some pedigree...vintage sh*tcan . I reckon it was an oil tank or aux fuel?
