Just checked the history of this one on the Registry, and noticed it's wearing the same markings and tail code as the one on the A-20 banner - neat!

I can't be the only one who is STUPID excited to see a genuine A-20 take to the air again. The almost complete disappearance of what was a pretty significant type during the war is a matter of significant regret, and it is absolutely phenomenal to see one returned to the skies.
I doubt Rod Lewis would consider bringing it up to the Va Beach show next May, but one could always hope, right?

Very exciting to say the least.
Will be interesting to see what artwork is applied to the nose !

I'm at work so I can't access Facebook to share it, but I saw a photo on there of the A-20 and a chase plane in a clear blue sky. Way cool.

Think that A20 was at Air Heritage for 10 or so years where most of the work was done. Heard it was outside up there.

Last I heard the Air Heritage A-20 was on pallets on a hangar floor in Geneseo, NY.
Edit: Sorry! Didn't realize which picture you were referring to! Nice to see the old Air Heritage Havoc back on its on feet. That was the first airplane I ever really worked on, albeit a very minimal amount.

If the airframe is the same as pictured above, then it is one of two A-20s that saw service with the Nicaraguan Air Force.
Back in 2002 IIRC, I interviewed a gentleman in Sacramento, CA, who had been during his youth in Nicaragua, a radio operator in one of "them A-20s" and later became something like a "astro particles physicist" or some such.
Good to see the airplane so nicely restored!

You are correct, this is the MARC owned one that was restored in Beaver Falls. No it stays safe in the back of the hangar. Wish the National Warplane would acquire it and start overhauling her for flight. What a unique plane we'd have out on the East Coast!
