The four of us went to Duxford Tuesday to Sunday, great time, the show, the airfield, the accomodations, The Eagle pub, John Barleycorn pub, the IWM musuem, RAF Hendon museum and the English people were great.

Red 7 and the Spitfire were impressive, the Spitfire - 109 chase on Thurday was fantastic.

Hope to see more of your photos!
cheers - ken k.

Glad you had a great time Ken. I stayed at the John Barleycorn for my first Legends and certainly visited The Eagle in Cambridge.

A few more to add as promised, sorry but nothing spectacular.

Flight Line ‘51s. Ferocious Frankie took off just as we arrived and I was disappointed to see her not return. Anyone that has hear her "howl" would know what I mean.

Hmmm, I got into a little difficulty last time. Lets see if I can get this right.
Nimrod, Nimrod II, Fury, Hurricane XII and a hint of Gladiator.

A few shots from me from the Saturday and possibly one of the best 'Legends' on record and of course the first public outing of the Seafire III.

You're welcome marine air. When you say see, hear and smell, you're dead on. There is nothing like Legends IMHO.

Thank you Peter, that lightning pic is my favourite. Excellent shots as always. How on earth did you get some of those? You're definitely over "the line" on some of those shots. 8)

Holy Spit, Peter! Gorgeous shots!! So many beautiful aircraft!

Thank you for sharing your excellent images. I'm guessing you were using your tall camera monopod again for the overhead shots?

Well up until 09:00 the media pack have full escorted access to the flight line. It was particularity good this year as the 'full on' sunshine forecast at 07:30 meant that most of the fleet were on the line before time out...and with their cockpit covers off.

I usually photograph the display from the 'take off end' press compound on the first day and on the second day, take a more restful position by the tower in the 'pilots/guests' marquee...fortuitous this year with the rain and dark clouds that rolled in and out during the Sunday flying, but producing wonderful lighting opportunities.

A few more shots using the mono-pod and remote shutter at about 12', the remainder on the long lens.

Outstanding Peter, thank you :drink3: Love the one of the MK1 through the propeller of another aircraft, the Spits and the Blenheim and the Avenger with the wings just locking up.

Great pictures. One interesting shot is the two Sea Furies. For a long time no one wanted the R-3350 "americanized" Sea Furies with the 4 bladed props outside of the U.S. IT seems at least two have found homes in Brittain. No doubt the owners are enjoying the relative low maintenance compared to the original engines and props.

European yes, but actually both French registered and operated.
