I work at a Kalamazoo TV station. Our weather folks are calling for showers/storms on Saturday, with possible showers on Sunday. Michigan weather is always a crapshoot, but Sunday is looking like the better of the two days..that's when I planning to go.

Went to the airport today, Angels were flying just as I got there a little before noon.
Found a good spot off mich ave, watched and listened to them do their marks, pretty entertaining.
After they landed went to ecorse, cops are indeed pushing people further away from denton. Found a nice spot off tyler, don't know if the video here will work but best BA takeoffI have ever seen, rarely can you get that kind of vantage point.

Fifi was there, a Corsair and A26. Tuskegee Mustang came in, B-25 then a couple Hueys and a Cobra. Shaw F-16's came in just as I was about to leave around 6 pm.

Blue Angels window is 1-4pm, they usually open Ecorse back up after the 4pm window.

Just out of curiosity, how much are they charging to come on the grounds for Friday arrivals day?

Probably, I was happy where I was at so stayed. Most arrivals were landing my way anyhow, cept the Mustang came in from Ecorse side. 16's did too but they did 3 nice passes before they landed.
Sometimes its not even a question of opening the road though, they still may not allow any loitering in prime spots. Barricades were up between Denton & Beck on service dr, not looking good there.
I have heard arrivals day is $20, don't know if that includes parking or not [I'd guess not]

Xray, barricades are up on the Ecorse service drive every year - they were last year but cops weren't enforcing it. I sat there briefly but saw arrivals were on 5L last year so I moved to the southwest side of the field. I think it is a straight $20 parking and admission.

From my experience, when they have them right in the middle that means do not enter.
Yes, you can slink around them, I tried that one year and about had a SWAT team called down on me - And that was after the show. People just roll over the grass too in the middle ,,, Time will tell and I wish you luck, maybe it'll be doable early morning to 11:30 or so. Maybe the Blues won't go up early to mark like they did today and you can stay longer.

When Blues were last here in 2011 the barricades were up. Cops came by around 1pm and kicked us out before the Blues went up but said that we could return at 4pm when the practice window was done. I am assuming it will be the same. I don't expect to be able to sit there from 1-4pm but should be able to at 10am when I usually arrive for arrivals day and again after 4-5pm.

It's been three years since I've been to a real airshow, that's one hell of a list to make a return!
