Speaking of these, actually, anyone know of an N-number for this one?

Seen at Lake Norman Airpark in 2014; I found some other photos of her at other airports on Airport-Data, but no joy finding a reg using her c/n or Army serial.

I wonder if I talked to you the other day. Did you call EAA?

I looked it up in Walt Shiel's book, and it listed the aircraft, with no further identification.

It is great to see more discussion on the T-41 series aircraft.
The aircraft in your photo is not a T-41B but a later model Civilian Cessna C-172 M equipped with a Lycoming 4 cylinder engine of either 150 or 180 HP and a fixed pitch prop. The T-41B had a six cylinder Continental engine of 210 HP and constant speed prop. Other differences are:

1. The rear window on this aircraft is different than the earlier T-41B.
2. It does not have the heavy nose gear and large full size 600x6 nose wheel and tire.
3. It has the civilian M cowling with opening for carb mounted airfilter, the T-41B is fuel injected with internal air filter and no scoop and exposed filter.
4. This aircraft has the later large M model dorsal fin that the B does not have.
5. This aircraft is equipped with the C-172M tubular gear not the 1966 C-182 spring steel legs.
6. It has civilian M doors and hinges, the T-41B has quick release doors with pull pins and an external sleeve for the cable assembly.

It is interesting to note that this aircraft has no N # unless it is subdued and hidden below the Stabilizer. It also has the lift rings installed on the T-41B and also civilian Float planes.

It is N5113F and S/N 65-5113. I am not sure what a C/N is but it is 172-52762. Any info or pics would be greatly appreciated.

Found this on the mystery Cessna. More pictures, but indeed no N-Number. And mentioned as a T-41B :/

Yep, that's a weird one. As mentioned by L-4Pilot in a previous post, it's most certainly not a T-41; it's a mid to late '70s M or possibly N model 172.
