Me again. Anyone please correct any error I may have made from my error prone memory. AND why can't I see those earlier pictures! ---Tom

Greetings Tom, your 'error prone memory' is less error prone than you think. You seem right on. Thanks kindly. My dad flew under the Bay bridge as well a few times, as well as the Golden Gate. I have several photos of the Santa Rosa CA airshow that Air Group 11 put on in 1945. I'll post later.

As for the photos I posted? Their all here. Look for the VB-11, VT-11 VF-11, USS Hornet albums

Thanks Mark! I have a few of those photos but not the air show ones nor the one of no. 126. I used to have a VT-11 decal but it was lost over the years. The turret gunner was Gayle Mars (spelling???). I think. This is a great website! ---Tom

p.s. I think some of those photos came from my father's scrapbook which I provided copies of a long time ago to one of the air groups historians.

Indeed he did. And thx Tom for supplying photos to Tim Hampton (CVG-11 historian) Very much appreciated and in great hands with Tim.

Tom I have one for you if you would like one. I'd be happy to send it to you.

I am wondering where they got such detailed stencils or stickers(?) of the ship silhouettes?

As always great photos!
