Looking for a supplier. FG1D Bubble & Windscreen. We will have to bite the bullet on this and buy one unless one of you wants to donate one to the project :)

Drew:

Good Day!

While you find the info & data on the new sample you may try to obtain via our FMAH poc the old FAH 609 bubble canopy. Someone suggested in Wix that there is a way to clean & polish them to look like almost new. There were also some old abandoned PW-2800 (3) c. 2005 that can be use for parts exchange.

Hi Drew,
I think we're getting a new bubble for ours and may have our old one available. Let me check on that and get back with you.

Drew, John Lane would be the best to find out who would be the source, but I know Aero Trader has been making new canopies for many warbirds as they have a big plexi oven.

LP Aero make the canopy and plexiglass for the Lockheed P-38. I would think they coud do the F4u canopy. Their prices are very realistic.
