I was able to catch up with some WIXers and the unexpected result was a flight in the B-25 Mitchell "Tondeleyo" during a movement flight. This was the first time I've flown a B-25 and the fact that I got to share the experience this with my son is priceless.

Image
Me at the controls, the B-25 is not a aircraft you could describe as "light" on the controls.

My son Brendan trying to see whats going on. This was his first non-airline flight and only his 5th flight ever. He did amazingly well since 10 minutes before he didn't know he was going. Once we were up he crawled into the nose and spent the majority of the flight there.

Dang I love to see this! Very cool, couldn't happen to a more deserving person. GREAT airplane to get a chair in the front office in too, I'm envious!

Oh yeah! 8)
I totally agree. Couldn't happen to a more deserving enthusiast.
The fact you were able to share it with your son makes it so much better.
I'm really happy for you guys. :supz:

It is about time you actually got to spend some time IN a Warbird instead of just managing us Warbird nuts on the web page. Glad you had a good time.
