S-O-D, are these small caliber rifle teams?

At any rate, I'd avoid REARWIN..not exactly a positive beginning. Besides,
it may give gender-confused male opponents the wrong idea!

I always loved the more unusal nicknames......especially when the meaning comes only at a 2nd glance....

here are a few of the P-51 variety

"Thatzacrock"
"Kwitcherbitchin"
"Noha Borshun"

and the best one for a field-converted two-seater:

"Gruesome Twosome"

and then there's this absolutely top-notch nickname for a B-29:

"Fu-Ke-Mal"

My favorite is a sibling of the spitfire. The Supermarine Walrus. Kind of gives a new definition of "a face only a mother could love"

Kewwlll...nice urban/semi-urban dove getters...a long way from the BB
guns of my youth.

So what did you choose...P-shooter or Lightning..orrr? I'd have suggested
Thunderkiss..but I haven't found a Napier Sabre Tempest to hang that tag
on yet..or the Lotto for that matter!!

I named it "Currahee" from Band of Brothers. I think its Cherokee for We stand Alone Together.
And I dont think theyll let me name it Strawberry... anyway.

I thought "Lawn Dart" was the F-16?

I also think it was occasionaly applied to the delta wing F-102 before that....

I bet most a/c were referred to as a lawn dart at some point (we lost 3 hornets when I was in and it seemed a bit fitting).

I've also heard the F-16 called a Lawn dart.
