I was just going through some of my old photos and pulled these out.

These first two are the same aircraft, separated by 10-years and a restoration in-between. The other is displayed at the Yanks Air Museum.

I ferried an N3N home out of the mountains this fall, just nicely before freeze up. A few weeks earlier while being ferried to her new home, the #3 cylinder decided to leave in mid flight, bouncing off the right hand tip float as it went, followed shortly afterwards by a piston and half a connecting rod! A new engine was installed and I somehow got volunteered, and now I can claim three hours in the N on floats! Fun trip! Cold, but fun! She's bunking in my hangar in Lacombe for the winter. Don't tell Jeff but I kinda want one now... :shock:
