That's an old view, with the (5+1) Sabre 4s listed above, which are still there. Sabre No.7 is an F-86K.

It'd be good to know a date for that Google image, but I'd guess it must be 10-15 years old (Google Earth gives a 2015 date, which I believe to be incorrect). The original image posted above (recent), shows the aircraft moved to the north of the ramp, in the area highlighted:

The one identified in the photo I posted, as FAH-3008, shows that the ejection seat was activated. This happened accidentally, when the airplanes were being withdrawn from service, and sadly, one of the mechanics was killed.

Many thanks - I often wondered about that. FAH Sabres were unusual in having Martin-Baker seats installed but retained the conventional canopy retraction mechanism.
