This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Yeah....seems a bit odd for something like that to be listed only on Barnstormers of all places......
Be cool if true, but if it sounds too good to be true....

He's a fraud who is well known around the airports in the LA area. And he's not well know for any good reasons. Hold your wallet when he's near by.

The main thing is that we are 20 to 30 years behind the curve when it comes to finding unknown WW II aircraft in a shipping container. Heck, people know about where everything is. THere may be an occassional find in the far corners of the world but not easily recoverable. Ask Kermit Weeks or Steve Hinton. I bet the cals they get for "treasure as found" have gone from a few calls a week to a few times a year , and then mostly rumors.

I would imagine by now what would turn up NOS would be smaller parts rather than whole aircraft; I bet if a big cache of new P-39 parts turned up, enabling several flying restorations of former statics, it would be huge news around here (although not as "newsworthy" as Spitfire-in-a-crate).
