$3m, R1830 engine flying example. Which one could this be then? It's advertised as a new restoration so, to probably answer my own question, is this the example that's just flown in Japan?

The one in Japan isn't a new restoration - it was built in the 90's and has been flying, on and off, since about 2000.

The only new A6M3 restoration I'm thinking this could be is the one that has been under restoration/build at Legend Flyers (used to be owned by Evergreen) - which is an A6M3-32, and very close to completion. It was initially going to be powered by an original Sakae engine, but the decision was later changed to installing an R-1830 (despite the rest of the aircraft being very authentic, for reliability and serviceability reasons).

That is the one. I checked the listing on Air Assets intl's page and it is being restored by Legend Flyers.

The Corsair for sale is Howard's 67HP??

Yes it is. Howard Pardue owned that Corsair from 1977 until 1990, when it was sold to the current owner Del Smith (Evergreen Aviation Museum). I don't believe it has flown since the late 90's, but wouldn't take much work to get flying again.

Best roller coaster ride I ever had was with Howard in NX67HP.
