I've always wondered, what kind of landing gear reaction systems do the surviving Wildcats have? I assume they've all been made automatic by this point. Are there any left that still have the manual crank?

This one still has the original hand crank system. As do most of them I am pretty certain. A friend of mine wrenches for Tom and due to his kindness I was allowed to sit in this Wildcat at Chino a couple of years ago. Very cool! Tom was considering some very interesting projects at that point in time and I wonder if the sale of the Wildcat might be to finance one of them? Whatever the circumstances I hope the Wildcat finds a good home with someone who will continue to operate it on a regular basis.
