Interesting looking Corsair. What is the story behind it? Where is it approx. How did it get there? Which one is it?

I'm not sure I believe that.

Come on, they should fess up that they wanted parts for the RB-47

This is the rising issue. The USAFM want B-58 parts for their B-58. Found a guy who has B-58 parts but he doesn't want to give up the parts. Now is forcing him to give back parts or they will be scrapped. :|

I'm not complaining about finding homes for common aircraft

Those common aircraft will soon be rare too. How many T-33s must be scrapped for example? Till we get to 25? 10? 5? When will it stop? In a few years the same people that don't care will be the ones saying, "I wish someone had done something to save them".

As you may know Nathan when I find a Corsair part I usually buy it either new or fully restored. This one's going to need Chuck Wahl's full attention to bring up to my standards.

Hey Mark,

Let's see if we can get a package deal. You take the Corsair, and I'll take the Model A roadster project!

About the B-58 parts, post or PM me a name and details, and I'll contact the NMUSAF and or HQAFMC (its parent organization) and try to get the story to share with everyone. Otherwise, I'll consider the story about M-16 toting government thugs in the "Black helicopters" category.

Instead of some nameless guy with unspecified partnering told something by an unspecified someone, let's try to get some facts.

Guys this thing is bogus...
I have been to see this "thing" several years ago. It's only 5 miles from my house.
It is NOT a corsair. It is about a 75% scale mock up. The outer wings are ercoupe. The gull center section is welded from galv pipe and pop riveted and welded galv sheet. The fuselage is galv pipe and it goes on and on...
It's never going to fly, and the guy never intends to try. He told me years ago it was for his grand kids and he wanted to start the engine (forgot which one he has on it, 985 maybe or something smaller) and taxi it around his property( which is NOT flat).
So you guys can figure out the rest.

It has been previously covered in this post
