Great article Mark, really enjoyed it. Airpower West can be found in
Warbird Digest 8.

Steve, thanks....waited a LONG time for them to finally run that article! We submitted it over a year and a half ago, and kept getting told it was gonna run but it never showed, so I finally quit telling folks it was coming....nice to know it finally saw the light of day! Hopefully it will help to swell the local ranks of Airpower West and really get the organization going (unfortunately the web site folded a few months ago but the group continues)....a fun article to write and even MORE fun to shoot the new P-51/T-6 shots for!

Mark,

Enjoyed the article. I joined Airpower West in 2000, when moved from San Ramon, CA to Denver, CO. They made my wife and I feel welcome, which helped ease the transition from a very active particpation in Golden Gate Wing of the CAF. Even though CO is not a mecca for airshows like CA, we manage to have a pretty good time. Every Sept Airpower West members support 5 different racing a/c at Reno. I support a CA based Harvard which has lead to some bragging rights between our group, but its all fun. If your going to the June 10 open house at Jeffco, send me a pm and will meet up

Note, to Tim, thanks for recognizing our group

Warren-

Actually we had planned on being at Jeffco for that show as far as I know, since it seems to be the only major aviation event in Colorado's summer! If ya wanna contact me Shari Jones has the info or you can just e-mail me direct at corsair166b@yahoo.com...It was a fun article to put together and I'm glad they finally found a space to run it in, hopefully it'll swell the ranls of Airpower West members in the state...
