An aircraft that I am very familiar with. Owned by Maurice Hammond and based with the rest of his collection at Hardwick Airfield (93rd Bomb Group) Norfolk England.

I met Mr. Hammond at his field several years ago. He's well known in the UK for his two Mustang restorations. The Mustangs are first rate complete with guns.

An interesting guy, as I understand it, when he wanted to learn to fly a Mustang he bought a Stearman, got proficient in that, then bought a T-6, mastered that, and only then flew his Mustang.

His strip is on part of an old 2nd AD B-24 field and a corner of his hangar is done up like a barracks of th err period with a bed, footlocker and clothes. On the wall is a painted window showing what that view would have looked like then, complete we with a B-24 parked outside.
