One of the new pojects in the shop. The Fiat G.59 was delivered from Australia to a German owner nearby the airfield. The G.59 is well known and was restored at Saunders Aeronautics 1984-1987. Later it flew in Australia as "Ciao Bella" coded VH-LIZ with look-alike -WW2 livery and later a single seater. The beauty will be restored back to the livery the Italien Airforce flew with. Really a beautiful aircraft, but some work to do

Merlin engine - italien service with FIAT ...... maybe a mechanic from Maranello helped

..... hope so

fresh painted wing. Ralf is painting the whole thing panel for panel to get a perfect surface without different shades. It works, but a lot of work

wing underside - pretty good shape

the team washed away the old paint with corrosives - and then they used their muscles

after that the fuselage was wrapped to avoid damage - time for the complete new electrical system/wiring

last Friday the underseide of the wing was painted in the new livery
