Actually if one wants to be nit picky. Take a look at the "Glimpy" on the original and then your photo. Original Glimpy has 'G' black and 'L' white. Your photo has 'G' and 'L' black. :axe:

And since we're going there...the original pic looks two tone to me, not three tone as the resto version in the color pic.

But man, what a crazy set up! I'll bet there was pucker factor 11 crawling into that bad boy. Thanks for posting the pics (all of them)!

So cool! I did not know that any of the military branches used Piper's civil J-3RG Cubs!
