FRANKLIN 0200-5

Wed Apr 13, 2016 5:36 am

In my inventory I have a Franklin 4AC-199-H (O-200-5) - 113 hp (84 kW) at 3,500 rpm
It has a US Army Air Corps data plate and is dated 1943
Looks to be a geared engine and has a spline shaft
Does anyone have an idea what it was used on ????

Static use or target drone?

Too small for an L-5, too small...and early...for H-13 or H-23.
Off the top of my head, none of the L-birds had Franklins, and they were lower hp.
