This topic has possibly been well documented on here, but I'm drawing a blank at the moment.
Back about 1980 or so my family took a trip to Vancouver Island, and at some point, on an overcast rainy day, we found a P-40 in Flying Tigers colors acting as a gate guard at a junk yard or scrap dealer or something of the sort. I recall there being discussion that the front half was a Kittyhawk that was mated to the back end of a Bolingbroke or something of the sort. I know somewhere in the catacombs of my parents house there is a photo or two of this plane.
Does anyone know the provenance of this, and what became of it?
