Hi Stoney -- hope you and Kathy are doing well. We haven't seen you for a long time.
I've been back for a couple of weeks now, but Birgitta is still down in Death Valley working on a book project. She handles 100 degree heat much more gracefully than I do.
This is where I heard of Jim's passing -- Kenny Price (formerly on the Warlock Race Team) posted it on AAFO about 6 weeks ago. Odd that you had not heard anything about it. Jim will be missed (assuming the information is correct). He was a fine man, and was very good to Birgitta and me over the years. I hope Dixie is doing OK -- she's been in poor health for the last few years. Jim and Dixie are among the folks we have kind of lost touch with since we stopped going to Reno. I feel bad about that now...

Thank you Bob. Jim and Dixie were very good people. I wonder if there was a connection between their passing -- even though Dixie was not her old self the last few years Jim was devoted to her.
I first met Jim many years ago when he was with the Casper based Tired Iron racing team. Our paths crossed many times over the years, between Jim's racing efforts, and his hosting of T-6 gatherings and such up in Casper. He even stored a classic old BMW car for me for a year in that big WWII hangar of his in Casper when I had no place else to put it.
I hope his airplanes and memorabilia find good homes.
Jim was a good man...

We had a great time in Casper in 1993 for the 55th anniversary of the first flight of the AT-6/SNJ/Harvard at Jim's hangar. C U sometime in the future Jim.
