The RNAF F-16s are probably based at Tucson, saw a ton of them there at Tucson Intl Airport training with the Arizona Air Guard F-16s last summer

So, I swore I saw a billboard on I-94 in Ypsilanti that says "The Blues are Coming" August 20-21, 2016. Their schedule shows TBD for this weekend.

The Blue Angels are on the schedule for Thunder Over Michigan in 2017....

Interest from various Military units is spooling up. Hope to be in a position to announce some more participants in a few weeks.

I really hope some more great military units are added. I haven't bought airline tickets yet to go up to Michigan this year when I usually come up to stay with my parents. I have been debating this or the Cleveland show (last year I lucked out with the 2 a week apart from each other, but this year they are 2 weeks apart and I don't have enough vacation time). I would really love to see that Mig-23, but I learned several times not to come based on a particular aircraft - ie that ME-262 that canceled 3 times among a few others. There really aren't a lot of WWII aircraft yet but it is still early in June. The Hind choppers are very intriguing. Both Cleveland and TOM have the F-22 demo, but for photographers like me the light is better at Cleveland since we face north.

Correction - In a previous post, I said the RNLAF would be sending two F-16's for static display. Well, now its up to four!

Would really be nice to see them do a formation flyover during a Friday arrival at Taxiway Photography since they will be static all weekend.

And now that we are down to just 2 months to the show, hopefully we will have some new announcements to the vintage warbird lineup soon....
