Argentinian "Mossie" question...

While doing some browsing when stuck in the house (potty training my son, the joys!) I came across an aircraft I have never heard of (no surprise!) It is the Argentinian I.Ae. 24 Calquin, which bears a striking resemblance to the D.H. Mosquito. Does anyone on board here have any more info on it? Do any airframes or parts survive? Here's what I found.

I used to buy an occasional Air Comics off the rack during my mostly misspent youth, and I recall the Calquin being covered. This index lists it in the April 1983 issue.

I'd be very surprised if I still had that issue. Perhaps someone else?

The Argentine sources said all remaining airframes were scrapped and some of them were used on a fire training excercise ...there was a project aiming at building a full scale replica of one aircraft. I do not know if there are any remains of these planes that clearly resemble a Mosquito with radial engines.

I asked some friends in Argentina and they said there is no interest in building the replica yet...

G'day, Mark. I'm not trying to be a smart a**, but you haven't mentioned that the first of your three photos is an Australian Beaufighter (notice the A8 designator on the fuselage side). However, I have to admit she does look a little 'mosquito'ish.

To be fair, it's not a design based on a Mosquito airframe as far as I can tell but rather one inspired by it. I've always found it intriguing and would love to see a 1:1 example, even static.
