Hey! I just so happened to come across this old thread as I was working on adding serial numbers to the NMUSAF's Wikipedia page and figured I'd give it a bump.

I've yet to add the serial numbers of the foreign aircraft, as I am less familiar with what constitutes a "serial number" for them (versus, say, a manufacturer's serial number, etc.) and what format they should be in. However, I plan to work on that when I finish the rest.

One other problem I've run into is how to organize and refer to the aircraft on the wiki page. So far, I have decided to follow what the museum itself has on it's website for format of the aircraft's designation and name. However, I am also working with what had previously existed on the wiki page; and that was the result of the conflicting philosophies of many different editors. In some cases the aircraft were duplicated in different sections. In other cases, there were disagreements as to what category (e.g. Cold War vs. Korean War vs. etc.) each aircraft belonged in. Therefore, I have held off actually organizing the list until all the serial numbers are included.

Anyway, if anyone wants to do a quick proofread of my work, it would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: A few more things I almost forgot: 1) I have been trying to add the nickname specific to each airframe where possible & 2) the NMUSAF's page on your website has been a great help in my effort, Mr. Henniger! However, I have been double checking any serial number I come across (except for ones on the NMUSAF's website) to make sure.

I hadn't thought of that. Honestly, it's been enough of a hassle just getting the serial numbers correct and written down that I'm about ready to just be rid of the page once I'm done. Plus, it's easier for me, comparatively speaking, to figure out serial numbers than to figure out which airframes have are combat survivors.

It might be a good idea though. You could do it if you want!

to the museum. It was painted in TexANG markings from 181st ARS / 136th ARW Navy Dallas.

The museum guys took our paint off and remarked it.
