Connecting a Weston 602 temperature indicator.

Sat Aug 20, 2016 3:16 pm

Hi,

At this moment I am trying to find out if I can use a Weston 602 temperature indicator in a flight simulator I want to build.
At the back of the guage there a 3 terminals for the wiring: V+, V-R and R.
Doed anyone know how such a gaue was connected?

Regards,

Mathieu.

If I had to GUESS (emphasis on GUESS because I would hate it if some stranger on the internet (me) gave bad advice and wrecked your indicator), the "V-R" post is probably the "V-" and second "R" post. So the connections would be, voltage, positive and negative ("V+" and "V-"), and then a resistor would be connected between the "R" posts to fine tune the indication. The "V-R" post would have two connections then, one for the negative side voltage and one end of the resistor.
