Saylor Creek Bombing Range

Fri Apr 14, 2006 12:54 am

I was cruisin Google Earth tonight and I took another look at the Saylor Creek Bombing Range, about 25 miles S.E. of Mountain Home Air Force Base, ID. I noticed a lot of reventments and at least 20 fighter aircraft sitting around a dirt runway and taxiways. They appear to be F-100, maybe F-102, T-33, and an F-4, but it was hard to tell. Also some missile sites. I know this is an active bombing range for at minimum the 366th FW and 124th FW. I would assume that they are not using live fire on these.
Does anybody have any insight as to what aircraft are out there? Any idea of condition?

Thanks!
