How did everyone get through the storm? What damage at airports and museums, if any? Hope our community fared well. I was in Orlando and we just got winds and rain.

Gary posted some pictures of carnage on his personal Facebook account. Didn't seem like anything classic / vintage was hit. Though I haven't seen all the shots Im sure.

https://floridawarbirds.wordpress.com/2 ... check-ins/

Update, 11 Oct from the VAC folks: In case you were wondering, yes we’re open for business! The museum sustained only minor damage, our entire collection including our outdoor statics made it through the hurricane unscathed and we have power.

Florida Warbirds made it through the Hurricane OK.

Stallion 51, Warbird Adventures, Kissimmee Air Museum all are in good shape. No reports of damage to any other venues or personal aircraft.

Fantasy of Flight was some water damage to some of the office spaces.

** UPDATE ABOVE ** No news on the Valiant Air Command museum yet. They may be without power as the county they are in got hit hard with winds.

American Aero Services had some damage to one of the hangars. The main restoration hangar is OK according to Gary Norville. (photos at the link)
